The Sousceyrac fortified castle, in the village of Sousceyrac-en-Quercy, no longer stands. Its appearance is known only through a 19th-century cadastral map and an 1855 painting, showing a rectangular building flanked by three round towers and one square tower topped with slate roofing. It withstood assaults during the Hundred Years' War before gradually falling into ruin, and a convent now occupies the site.
