What the French Ministry of Culture records

La demeure actuelle a succédé à un repaire connu au 16e siècle. C'est un long corps de logis avec balcon central en ferronnerie, comportant deux pavillons en retour d'équerre sur la façade opposée. Les toitures étaient primitivement en lauze. L'ensemble date du milieu du 18e siècle. Selon une légende, le château aurait été bâti par Louis XV pour l'une de ses maîtresse qu'il voulait éloigner de la cour. Deux pavillons de concierge à toits plats se trouvent dans la cour. Une grille en fer forgé s'ouvre dans le mur de clôture arrondi.
