The Château du Goust occupies a two part platform in Malville, in the Loire-Atlantique department. Built in the 15th century to watch over the Loire downstream from Nantes, it was later turned into a pleasure residence before being seized and destroyed at the end of the 16th century. What remains today are ruins: the ground layout, the moats and the outer bailey area can still be traced on site.
