To make a day of it

Château de Vregille stands in Vregille (Haute-Saône), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

The château de Vregille stands in the Haute-Saône department, on the commune bearing its name, at the centre of an estate that combines an 18th-century manor house with older remains. Built for the Courlet de Vregille family from 1729, it was extended during the second half of the same century, then completed in the 19th century with a library wing and a park laid out in the English style. A square tower and the building known as the Régale, once linked to seigneurial dues, can still be seen. The whole property, including the park, outbuildings, chapel and orangery, is listed as a historic monument.
