Château de Toucy stands in Toucy (Yonne), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The château de Toucy stands on a rocky spur overlooking the Ouanne valley, in the Puisaye region of the Yonne. Three successive fortresses occupied this site from the 10th century onward, built and rebuilt first by the bishops of Auxerre and later by the powerful lords of Toucy. The 1423 fire, during the Hundred Years' War, destroyed the town and most of the stronghold, leaving the ramparts as the most visible trace of this military past. A medieval seigneurial chapel, attached to the parish church, has also survived.
