Ce château peut dater du 13e siècle et fait partie d'un réseau de fortifications établi dans tout le pays. Il s'agit d'un rectangle flanqué de quatre tours d'angles dont la plus grosse est en partie écroulée. Les tours ont dû perdre leurs mâchicoulis et créneaux à la Révolution. L'accès au château s'effectue par un escalier jusqu'à une porte surmontée d'un écusson portant trois rocs d'échiquier, timbré d'une couronne mutilée en encadré de palmes, sans doute posé en relancis à la fin du 17e siècle. Partant de là, un escalier en vis dessert les étages. La partie inférieure des tours est voûtée en demi calotte sphérique. Le rez-de-chaussée du corps de logis est voûté sur croisée d'ogives.
