The château de Pressac stands in Saint-Quentin-sur-Charente, in the Charente limousine area, a few kilometres from Chabanais. Founded in the Middle Ages by the Fezensac family, burned down during the Hundred Years' War and rebuilt from 1543 onward, it still shows its four corner towers with pepperpot roofs and a main building overlooking a wide terrace. The La Bastide family, who have owned it since the 19th century, still hold it today. During the Second World War the estate also sheltered an FTP resistance group.
