To make a day of it

Château de Peychelard stands in Lamastre (Ardèche), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The ruins of the château de Peychelard stand on a rocky spur overlooking the Doux river at Lamastre, in the Ardèche region. Built in the 10th century by local lords, it was abandoned at the end of the 18th century after the death of its last lord, then stripped of its stone to build the lower town. Only fragments remain today, set in a landscape above the valley.
