To make a day of it

Château de Rosières stands in Saint-Félicien (Ardèche), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Two kilometres from Saint-Félicien, in the Ardèche region, the château de Rosières stands on a rocky spur above the Daronne valley. The main building, largely dating from the 15th century, is marked by two towers on its northern side, while another tower, now part of a farm building, may be a remnant of the original 12th- or 13th-century château. A semi-circular earthen rampart about 160 metres across surrounds the site, now laid out with terraced gardens, and a 17th-century chapel stands to the east. From here the view extends to Pailharès, the Rochefort watchtower, the Rhône valley, the Vercors and the Écrins.
