A partir d'un donjon circulaire du 12e ou 13e siècle, construction au 15e siècle d'un château articulé en deux ailes perpendiculaires. Aménagements et décors des 17e-18e siècles. Remaniement à la fin du 19e pour rendre l'édifice plus confortable tout en accentuant son caractère médiéval par un style néo-gothique. Travaux effectués par l'architecte Honoré Vianne.
