Built in the early 17th century, it retains inside a grand salon, a smaller salon and a library set in the southwest tower, complete with its original furniture. Listed as a historic monument, the building is best appreciated for its wooded, remote setting.

What to know

  • The castle stands alone in forest, away from any town centre, so access is via country roads.
  • Only part of the building is protected and potentially open to visitors: the facades, roofs, and a few first-floor rooms.
  • No opening hours or admission prices are included in our data, so it is worth checking before travelling.
  • The site lends itself more to an exterior, landscape-focused visit than to a museum-style tour.
