Château de Joviac stands in Rochemaure (Ardèche), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The château de Joviac stands at the end of a dirt track, surrounded by grain fields at the foot of the Coiron plateau, in the commune of Rochemaure in the Ardèche. Two round towers flank the main façade of this large two storey house, which also retains a square tower, a former keep once ringed by a moat. Around the main building spread extensive outbuildings: silkworm houses, an orangery doubling as a dovecote, a chapel fitted into an old defensive tower, terraced gardens and an orchard. The whole site reflects the workings of a rural estate that has kept both its lordly living quarters and its working and charitable buildings largely intact.
