To make a day of it

Château de Neuilly stands in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine), in the Île-de-France region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Of the château built in 1751 by architect Jean-Sylvain Cartaud for the Comte d'Argenson, only a nineteenth-century wing survives, designed by Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine and absorbed since 1908 into a convent complex on boulevard d'Argenson in Neuilly-sur-Seine. The original estate, spanning 170 hectares between avenue du Roule and Levallois-Perret, was once home to Talleyrand, Murat and Princess Pauline Borghèse before passing to the Orléans family in 1818. Visitors come less for a château than for the architectural remnants of an aristocratic and imperial past still embedded in today's building.
