The château de Nervers stands in Odenas, in the heart of the Beaujolais region, between the hills of Netty and Garanche, a few kilometres from Mont Brouilly. Originally a hunting lodge attached to the château de la Chaize estate in the late 18th century, it took on its present form during the Second Empire, when the Denoyel family added wings and an extra storey. The estate is now a working vineyard producing Brouilly wine on nearly forty hectares, and each summer it hosts an outdoor evening show retracing the history of the region.
