Château de Montgeroult stands in Montgeroult (Val-d'Oise), in the Île-de-France region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 17th century, 18th century). Adult admission costs 12 EUR. Its opening hours and prices were verified at the source on September 6, 2026.
Set in the eastern part of the Vexin français, this 17th-century château overlooks the Viosne valley within a walled estate. Built in the 1630s-1640s, it retains outbuildings from the early 18th century, including a row of connected rooms where stable stalls from a former horse-breeding operation still remain. Privately owned and inhabited by the same family since 1831, it was once the home of Hélène de Nervo, Marquise de Montgeroult, a musician and composer active before the French Revolution.
