Connu dès le 14e siècle, le château se compose de deux ailes perpendiculaires reliées par un pavillon, le tout remontant à la fin du 15e siècle et au 16e. Le décor intérieur est remanié au 19e siècle, dans l'esprit Second Empire. La demeure, les dépendances et la chapelle néo-gothique sont intégrées dans un parc bordé de vastes terrasses. Le parc domine une tour coiffée d'une Vierge.
