What the French Ministry of Culture records

La famille de Razes fit construire le château au milieu du 15e siècle. Il fut restauré en 1736 et une chapelle y fut bâtie en 1739. La terre et le château furent vendus à la Révolution. En 1860, les terres furent revendue au détail et le château démoli. Il en reste les vestiges d'une tour et les douves. Au début du 14e siècle, il comportait un corps de bâtiment central flanqué de deux tours circulaires, entouré de fossés de plan rectangulaire. Dans le fond des douves ont été trouvées des sculptures gothiques représentant des faces humaines et des animaux. Elles ornaient le rampant d'un mur-pignon. Deux anges portent un blason.
