In the village of Le Monteil, in the commune of Lamonzie-Saint-Martin, the château de Monboucher displays a classical architecture dating from the late 17th century, with a main building flanked by two pavilions. Notable features include the modillion cornice under the broken roof, the square chapel in the west pavilion, and a vaulted cellar running the full length of the building. Having passed through several hands, including use as a trotting horse stud farm in the 1970s and 1980s, the estate was thoroughly renovated in the 2020s and now hosts artists in residence.
