What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit entre 1490 et 1530 avec ajout, au 18e siècle, des pavillons latéraux et de la chapelle. Parc dessiné à la française. En 1819, ajout des communs qui rattachèrent le corps de logis aux tours d'entrée, l'ensemble formant alors un plan en U. Les éléments architecturaux de la Renaissance, situés essentiellement sur la façade antérieure du pavillon central ainsi qu'une cheminée monumentale sculptée, côtoient des ajouts postérieurs, offrant l'aspect d'un ensemble typique de la Gâtine.
