Château de Mauremont stands in Mauremont (Haute-Garonne), in the Occitanie region of France. What the French Ministry of Culture records

Au 16e siècle, le château aurait abrité une garnison de soldats en lutte contre les Huguenots. Au 17e siècle, Richelieu démantèle le château qui présentait un plan quadrangulaire cerné par des douves dont la seule partie subsistante est située à l'angle sud-est. En 1660, la reconstruction de l'édifice est entreprise. Les derniers aménagements s'achèvent au 19e siècle avec les communs et le parc. L'édifice se compose d'un bâtiment principal avec deux ailes en retour abritant les communs, cantonnées par deux tours pigeonniers carrées. Un pont surmontant les douves en permet l'accès. Deux légers décrochements témoignent d'anciennes ailes en retour d'un château primitif dont l'aspect militaire se retrouve dans la tour-bastion carrée subsistant à l'angle sud-est, percée d'anciennes meurtrières. L'angle sud-ouest devait avoir une tour identique, rasée au 17e siècle. A l'est fut adossée une orangerie qui servit d'habitation avant d'être utilisée comme bâtiment agricole.
