To make a day of it

Château de Cadreils stands in Berrac (Gers), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

The château de Cadreils stands at Berrac, in the Gers department, between Lectoure and Condom. Built at the end of the 17th century on the remains of a 15th century structure, it combines a round tower and a square tower around a main building whose arcaded gallery and classical pediment contrast with an otherwise austere, almost medieval appearance. Privately owned by the Gayet family, it is not open for visits, though its facades, its 1690 dovecote and its 1689 gateway can still be seen from the outside.
