What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château et les communs sont du 17e siècle. Le château est une reconstruction d'un bâtiment antérieur dont caves et cuisines ont été conservées (13e siècle). La motte de l'ancien château détruit au cours des guerres de Cent ans subsiste à un endroit assez éloigné. Les caves du 13e siècle doivent être celles de l'ancien prieuré dépendant de l'abbaye de Saint-Evroult. L'édifice actuel présente un corps de logis rectangulaire entièrement bâti en pierre blanche. Il est flanqué, d'un côté, d'une tour et, de l'autre, par une tourelle en encorbellement. La cour est encadrée de deux pavillons Louis XIV auxquels s'appuie, à chaque extrémité, une tourelle placée en sentinelle sur le chemin.
