What the French Ministry of Culture records

De la forteresse médiévale, sont conservées une partie de l'enceinte et une tour circulaire, accompagnées du fossé partiellement remblayé. Ce vestige du rempart est construit en moellons de grès pour les fondations, calcaire pour la partie supérieure et brique pour les réfections du 19e siècle. Il correspond à l'architecture militaire classique des 13e-14e siècles. Par la suite, il sert de mur de clôture au château, et sans doute de soubassement au nouvel édifice. Le château actuel comprend un corps de logis central, brique et pierre de style Renaissance (début 16e) , et deux ailes de quatre étages édifiées au 19e siècle.
