Château de Lédenon stands in Lédenon (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 12th century, 13th century, 15th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The château de Lédenon has overlooked this village in the Gard department since the 12th century, with a keep and a 13th-century ribbed-vault hall pierced with pointed-arch doorways and arrow slits. The building combines several building phases: the lower sections, to the north and east of the courtyard, date from the late 13th century, while the upper parts, to the south and west, are older. The east façade features paired windows, bretèches and mullioned windows recreated to match the originals. Stones from the Roman aqueduct of Nîmes were reused in the original fortified gateway, and the remains of a medieval oil or wine press can be seen near the entrance to the cellar.
