What the French Ministry of Culture records

Bastide datant du 17e siècle, restaurée à la fin du 18e siècle par Gabriel-Joseph Froment, baron de Castille, qui remanie à l'antique le vieux château et peuple son parc de fabriques. Le château est acquis vers 1950 par Douglas Cooper pour abriter sa collection de tableaux contemporains. En 1962, il fait réaliser des dessins gravés à la meule sur une surface en béton, située dans la galerie. La collection de tableaux disparaît en 1977.
