Château de Sanilhac stands in Sanilhac-Sagriès (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
First recorded as a stronghold in the 10th century on the road between Nîmes and Uzès, the château de Sanilhac retains a 12th century keep surrounded by wings built up until the 18th century. Its classical façade, attributed to the Languedoc architect Guillaume Rollin around 1750, wraps around the medieval tower rather than replacing it, a layout considered unusual among Languedoc châteaux. Inside, vaulted ground floor rooms once used as a chapel have been restored with carved stalls and seigneurial chairs. The estate now hosts art exhibitions and cultural events, though fires in 2023 and 2025 damaged the roof near the keep and destroyed part of the guest wing.
