To make a day of it

Château de Blauzac stands in Blauzac (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Set in the heart of the village of Blauzac in the Gard department, this castle forms a quadrangle flanked by towers, built mainly during the 14th and 15th centuries, though the bossed corner tower at the northwest predates the rest of the structure. Inside, visitors can spot ribbed vaulted rooms, keystones carved with foliage and figures, and a monumental fireplace in the south tower. A gallery added in 1773 reshaped the inner courtyard while leaving the medieval character of the building intact.
