Lieu de naissance du marquis de Montcalm, lieutenant des armées en Nouvelle France. Le château se compose d'un corps de logis de deux étages, flanqué de deux avant-corps carrés. Des quatre tours qui le cantonnaient, deux seulement subsistent. A l'intérieur, un escalier à la française conduit aux étages. Quelques pièces ont conservé leurs plafonds à la française. A l'arrière du château, séparés par une terrasse, se trouvent les communs.
