Château de Sommières stands in Sommières (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Standing on a rocky spur above the Vidourle river and the Roman Tibère bridge, Sommières castle bears the marks of several centuries of successive fortifications. The Bermond tower, an early 13th-century keep built directly on the rock, remains the best-preserved part of the site, while the Montlaur tower, built later, survives only as foundations. Visitors can also see a castle chapel, a gate tower with machicolations, and two lines of walls that recall the repeated sieges the stronghold endured, particularly during the Wars of Religion.
