Château d'Aubais stands in Aubais (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on a cliff overlooking the village of Aubais, this castle in the Gard region retains traces of an ambitious rebuilding carried out in the late 17th century by the Baschi family. Only remnants of the former main residence survive today, having been ransacked during the Revolution, but the central pavilion housing its monumental staircase can still be seen. This staircase, twenty five metres high and decorated with carved motifs, drew admiration from Vauban in its day. The site thus combines ruins with surviving elements, evidence of an architectural project that remained unusual for its era.
