To make a day of it

Château de Lathan stands in Noyant-Villages (Maine-et-Loire), in the Pays de la Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century, 18th century, second half of the 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château de Lathan stands in Noyant-Villages, on an estate whose origins go back to the 17th and 18th centuries. A rebuilding project was drawn up in 1773 by Victor Louis but never carried out, and it was the architect Vestier who gave the château its present form, built between 1861 and 1865 in a classical style. The 50-hectare park retains older features: avenues, waterways, a formal garden, a canal and ornamental follies.
