To make a day of it

Château de Larringes stands in Larringes (Haute-Savoie), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Larringes stands on a hillock above the village, in the Gavot region of Haute-Savoie, commanding views stretching from the Bernese Alps to Mont Blanc. First built in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 14th century under Guillaume de Châtillon, it belonged for centuries to the marquesses of Allinges-Coudrée. Its square enclosure flanked by a square keep, along with 19th-century alterations, reflects a long history of destruction and rebuilding.
