Château de Lacroix-Laval stands in Marcy-l'Étoile (Rhône), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The château de Lacroix-Laval stands in Marcy-l'Étoile, on the outskirts of Lyon, on the site of a fortified manor dating from the 12th century. Rebuilt in the 16th century and later altered by the architect Soufflot in the 18th, it consists of a main block flanked by two pavilions topped with domed roofs. The building itself now houses reception rooms and a training centre for culinary trades, so the visit centres mainly on the surrounding grounds and historic gardens.

What to know
- The château is no longer open as a museum since the Doll Museum closed in 2007, so the interior cannot be visited.
- The park, owned by the Lyon Metropolitan authority, is freely accessible and includes a French-style garden, an English-style garden with ponds, and a walled conservatory kitchen garden.
- The rose garden, open to the public since 2014, brings together around a hundred varieties of old Lyon roses.
- A lift has replaced one of the two staircases leading to the south terrace, making that outdoor area easier to reach for visitors with reduced mobility.
- The estate holds the eco-jardin and Jardin remarquable labels, which apply mainly to the kitchen garden and rose garden rather than to the building itself.
