What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit dans la première moitié du 19e siècle pour Louis-Philippe Dumont, député du Calvados à la Convention. L'édifice présentait les caractéristiques d'un château néo-classique. Dans la seconde moitié du siècle, sont menées des extensions et une rénovation intérieure. Sur la façade arrière, ajout d'une tour hexagonale demi hors-œuvre. Les deux pavillons sont prolongés pour accueillir des pièces de service. A l'intérieur, les décors sont complètement refaits (vestibule redessiné autour d'un nouvel escalier ; faux marbre ; motifs floraux ; décor stuqué, etc...). Parc à l'anglaise.
