The château de la Clairière is a medieval manor house located at the hamlet of la Clairière, in the commune of Saint-Maurice-la-Souterraine, in the Creuse department. One of its dwellings retained, in the 16th century, two corner turrets and a front staircase, evidence of a modest yet fortified seigneurial building. The dovecote still stands today, bearing a carved stone with a date and a monogram, the only clearly dated element on the site.
