The Château du Puy stands in Tercillat, in the Creuse department, on land tied to a fief first recorded in the 13th century. Built in 1789 from the stones of a neighbouring feudal castle destroyed during the Revolution, it still holds traces of that earlier building, including carved heads said to come from the Templars. Visitors today find a collection of 3,000 costumes along with older outbuildings such as a medieval dovecote, a farmyard and a bread oven.
