Château de La Chapelle-Faucher stands in La Chapelle-Faucher (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, 15th century, 17th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Perched on a cliff some thirty metres above the Côle river, the château de La Chapelle-Faucher retains the outline of a 13th-century stronghold reshaped over several centuries. Two round towers flank an older residential wing, while a 17th-century gatehouse, outbuildings and a dovecote complete the grounds. The site bears the marks of a turbulent past, from destruction during the Hundred Years' War to a massacre during the Wars of Religion and a fire in 1916 that destroyed the roofs.
