What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château entièrement bâti en pierre, cantonné de deux tours, et ouvert de petites fenêtres carrées. La porte d'entrée est en plein cintre. Le rez-de-chaussée est supporté par une voûte en plein cintre surbaissée. L'enceinte du château est formée en grande partie par les murs extérieurs des communs. A la fin du 16e siècle, la commune était administrée par trois consuls élus dont l'autorité subissait l'influence du seigneur. Toute décision prise n'avait force de loi qu'après avoir été approuvée par le châtelain.
