What the French Ministry of Culture records

Fief attesté dès le 12e siècle. La vieille maison fortifiée est abandonnée pour la construction d'un château de 1741 à 1743 sur les plans de l'architecte Jean-Pierre Franque. Création d'un parc paysager entre 1873 et 1883, à partir de trois projets dont l'un dû à l'atelier Luizet et Barret. Au 19e siècle, mise au goût du jour du décor des pièces principales du rez-de-chaussée. Au sud-est, le premier château fortifié, longtemps utilisé comme ferme, conserve de nombreux restes médiévaux (baies à meneau et croisillon, porte avec armoiries bûchées, plafonds à la française).
