Built from 1760 for Pierre Langlois de Septenville, an administrator of the royal postal service, the château of Courcelles-sous-Moyencourt presents an 18th century façade pierced by around a hundred doors and windows, arranged so as to avoid any heavy or massive appearance. The estate, which has passed through only ten owning families, still has its original dovecote and a park laid out in the 19th century by Maxime de Gomer, a writer on horticulture. The 20 hectare arboretum combines sequoias, cedars and araucarias around a rockery grotto, and is now also home to llamas.
