To make a day of it

Château de Champvent stands in La Guiche (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Champvent castle stands in La Guiche, in the Saône-et-Loire department, overlooking a pond that mirrors its octagonal stair tower. Built in the 17th century by architect François Martel, whose name and the date 1646 appear on one of the dormer windows, the building features facades decorated with four pedimented dormers topped with fire finials. Extended at the end of the 19th century with an added wing and a raised rear section, the estate has remained in the hands of descendants of the families who have owned it since then.
