Château de Chalonge stands in Trévron (Côtes-d'Armor), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Trévron, on the south bank of the Guinefort river, the Château de Chalonge combines a fortified 15th century tower, a remnant of an earlier stronghold, with Renaissance-era pavilions from the late 16th century featuring dormers and chimneys carved in Faluns limestone. The site reflects two distinct periods: the feudal power of the Chalonge and later du Breil lords, and the decorative ambitions of a family that had risen in rank at court. Visitors can see the du Breil coat of arms carved between the windows and on the exterior chimney stacks, though those on the main façade were defaced during the Revolution.
