Château de Brionne stands in Brionne (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Perched on a spur overlooking the Risle valley, the ruined keep of Brionne recalls a stronghold that controlled a key crossing between Rouen and Alençon from the late 11th century onward. Of the square building reinforced with flat buttresses only sections of wall remain, several metres thick, yet tall enough to give a sense of the original scale. The site, freely accessible, is visited chiefly for the view it commands over the town and the valley below.
