To make a day of it

Château de Carsix stands in Nassandres sur Risle (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Carsix castle stands in Nassandres sur Risle, in the Eure department, at the end of a lime-tree avenue leading to its coat-of-arms gate. Built of brick and stone in the mid-eighteenth century for Philippe du Faÿ, it combines a central block with two side pavilions. Inside, restored woodwork, parquet floors and mantelpieces recall the taste of that era. The estate now mainly hosts private functions rather than opening as a public sightseeing venue.

What to know

  • The castle is not presented as open for individual sightseeing but is rented out for weddings, seminars and private events.
  • No visiting hours or admission fees are given, as it does not open to the public in the usual sense.
  • The park, lined with lime trees, frames a wide vista in front of the façade and side pavilions.
  • Inside are reception rooms, a mirrored hall and fitted cellars, all reserved for event rentals.
  • Access is through a gate bearing the du Faÿ family coat of arms.
