Château de Brametourte stands in Lautrec (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
At Lautrec, in the Tarn department, the château de Brametourte stands with its square towers and eleventh-century keep around a polygonal courtyard lined with Gothic arcades. Having largely escaped Renaissance remodelling, the building keeps its original defensive character, with arrow slits, turrets, a spiral staircase and a protected well built into the thickness of the walls. Vaulted cellars, an old foundation wall said locally to be Roman, and former oubliettes round out the visit of a site that stood near ruin for centuries before being restored.
