To make a day of it

Château de Boucéel stands in Saint-James (Manche), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château de Boucéel stands near Vergoncey, in the Manche département, on land that once formed its own commune before being merged into Saint-James. Built in the mid-18th century in a classical style, the house features a central projecting bay with canted corners flanked by low wings topped with balustrades. Nearby stands a chapel dating back to the 16th century, older than the main building. In December 1795 the estate was also the setting for an armed clash known as the battle of Boucéel.
