To make a day of it

Château de Bonneval stands in Ambialet (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

On a rocky spur overlooking the meanders of the Tarn river, at the hamlet of Bonneval near Ambialet, stand the overgrown ruins of a 16th century castle. Built by the Saint-Paul family and later owned by the Sandral family, the building was the scene of a notorious crime in 1931 before burning down in 1940. A square main building, a round tower on its facade and scattered wall sections along the cliff edge can still be seen today.
