To make a day of it

Château de Bonnais stands in Coust (Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

East of Coust, in the Cher department, the château de Bonnais displays six towers on a square plan, built for the most part in the late 15th century. Moats fed by the Chignon stream surround the building, and a grand staircase set inside an octagonal tower leads to the upper floors, following a design also found at Gien and Jallanges. A rounded-arch gateway, dated to the 17th century and Louis XIV in style, marks the western entrance.
