To make a day of it

Château de Berthenonville stands in Vexin-sur-Epte (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Set in the countryside of the Norman Vexin, the château de Berthenonville stands on the site of a former L-shaped manor, replaced around 1840 by a building in a classical style with an Empire-inspired interior. The estate passed from the Blondel family to the Méry de Bellegarde family, and still bears traces of its occupation by German forces during the Second World War, including a staircase built to separate soldiers from the family and inscriptions on certain doors. Since 2019 the property has belonged to a new family who maintain it.
