To make a day of it

Château d'Aveny stands in Vexin-sur-Epte (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château d'Aveny stands in the hamlet of Dampsmesnil, in the commune of Vexin-sur-Epte, in the Eure department. Built over the remains of a medieval fortified house, it took on its present appearance in the 18th century, with a 75-metre-long façade that still recalls the classical lines of the previous century. Restored several times over the years, it now serves mainly as a venue for weddings and private events rather than for public tours. Facing it, across the Epte river, an 18th-century bridge links the Eure to the Val-d'Oise.
